Every game has rules, but the rules here aren't very hard to follow. Quite simple actually! If you any further questions about game rules then please post your question in our Questions topic, or contact one of our staff.
First off, here's some basic info about our game's writing style:
Our style of storytelling is based off a similar feel as the Batman Animated series, and the Arkham games, with some design elements from the Batman Begins (Christian Bale) trilogy mixed in. Not only is it from the heroes' perspectives, but also from the perspectives and viewpoints of the villains. This means you can play either a good guy, bad guy, or both!
But now that you know a bit of the influence, here are some rules to follow:
-#1. Just like the Batman Animated series, our game is meant to be PG in language. This means little to no swearing unless censored (most are automatically censored unless they're words with double meanings, so be courteous), and please avoid using names of either religious figures, political figures, or anything controversial. We want to be sure that our site is welcome to anyone and everyone!
-#2. Be sure to read the game rules topic RIGHT HERE before playing!
-#3. Be kind to your fellow player! Generosity is always appreciated!
Now here are the basic game rules:
-Like all games you must apply for characters you want to play as. See here for your characters list, application template, and basic app info. Be sure to read carefully!
-As a Newbie Member, you do have a character limit. You can only own three characters at a time. As you rank up your limit will be taken off gradually as staff decides.
-Remember to learn how to write your posts properly in the setting your character is in by reading surrounding posts and getting a general feel for what's happening. Remember it's rude to not read other players' posts in the thread you're in!
-Players cannon inflict harm on other players' characters unless given permission from that player. It is normally up to them to decide whether your attempted strike or blow actually hits or not.
-Try not to get too far ahead. Don't do too much in your character posts. Let other characters respond before leaving a room or doing a significant action unless it's necessary.
-Signatures are allowed, but no images or videos in your signature, and only two lines of text at the most.
More rules may be added in the future. For now, we look forward to you joining us in our story! Our site is a work in progress, and we are always improving!
