Workplace of Commissioner Jim Gordon and Barbara Gordon; Temporary prison for outlaws.

"It’s been months since the disappearance of multiple rich upper class people in the city such as Bruce Wayne, Carmine Falcone, and other associates of theirs with no sign of their locations. Others who are known to be still in Gotham City such as Harvey Dent seem to also be trying to hide their faces from the public, and seem to also be increasing their security in attempts to protect themselves from ‘whoever’ caused the other disappearances. Of course however, the city police and Commissioner James Gordon say that although they are investigating, they see no evidence that it was anyone who caused their leaves at all.

"What seems stranger however is that since then it seems that the ‘Batman’ is nowhere to be found, which leads researchers to wondering who he was, and where he is now. With the Batman gone, the City of Gotham is in turmoil with crime around every corner, with big evils such as the ‘Joker', the ‘Penguin', and multiple others lose from Arkham Asylum. Police are trying to contain the chaos as much as they can, but it seems Commissioner James Gordon isn-“

“I’m tired of the news,” said Jim Gordon simply. as he turned off the television, "After months of fighting and working night and day, I finally have some time of ‘peace' to listen to news reporters jabbering about everything wrong with the City."

Jim paused and rubbed the back of his head before continuing, "*sigh*, Feels like I damn shouldn’t though. Our police force is weak because of this ‘Batman’ and how easy it is to let him do everything. But now that he’s gone, we need to learn how to survive as a city without him.”

Barbara, Jim’s daughter, was sitting next to him. She placed her head in her hand. She also had been working now that she was old enough to. She knew exactly all that her Dad had been doing out in the field. It was a nightmare.

Jim then said, “Maybe this is a sign from God himself that we should get off our sad hind parts and work to have a safe city.”

“Who knows,” said Barbara simply.

After some time of silence, Jim stood up and went outside for a smoke. Though even standing outside for a break was a dangerous thing to do in Gotham then, Jim felt a bit braver this night. Time is a crazy thing. One change in normality, and boom. Everything is crashing down. But we won’t give up yet. Not in a million years.

He lit his cigarette outside, because why have second hand smoke when the city is in ruins? Might as well be considerate.

Maybe our city is just as normal as any other, and our force has just not been trained properly. Barbara is fully capable to help full time, but…

-Jim looked back towards his daughter who was still inside.

I sure as hell am not about to lose her along with my city.

Later...

"Holy ****!" Exclaimed Jim Gordon as he saw the live feed of Batman and Black Mask on the television screen in his office. The commissioner jumped from his seat and grabbed the phone on his desk.

"****! The lines are dead!"

Jim grabbed his main walkie talky. This piece of junk better work.

"This is Commissioner Gordon. We have a hostage situation in our hands, and it's a huge one. Get as many of our riot police force over to that abandoned factory near Ravensberry Shopping Center PRONTO."

This is gonna get messy. God help us.

Jim grabbed his coat and gear and headed out of his office and towards the main exit.
