Personality: Loud, easily distressed or angered, doesn't really like children, is fond of his pet sewer alligators and pretties he orders children to steal for him, etc.

Bio: Wendell Lewis grew up poor and was shunned by society before he found himself in Gotham City's sewer. He came across sewer alligators and trained them to attack enemies. Alligators were also ''pretties'' to him and he cared about them. Not willing to return to the surface where others mistreated him, Wendell gathered orphans and used them to steal items, food, etc. for him after he dubbed himself the Sewer King. ''Bring pretties for your king!''
The Sewer King also taught various lessons near the children. ''Rule number one. NO TALKING! Children should be seen and not heard.'' Anyone talking was locked in a room filled with light for a few hours. The light harmed the children due to them being in the sewer for a long time.
One boy got out of the room and was found by Batman before he was in the latter's home. He and Batman went to the boy's friends in the sewer. Batman was disgusted due to seeing the sickly looking children.
The Sewer King appeared with his two pet alligators and used them to attack Batman. He gasped and was visibly distressed after Batman harmed the alligators by prying their jaws open. He ran from Batman before the latter fell through a sewer hole.
The Sewer King said Batman caused him distress and harmed his pretties. He tried to get him to release a pipe by using his boot heel to step on his fingers. He lost his balance and fell in the water. His alligators dove after him.
Batman assumed the Sewer King was killed, but the latter reached the shore and mentioned the alligators were his pretties. The Sewer King scratched one alligator's snout and left.
A little while later, Batman followed the Sewer King and knocked him to the ground. Batman dragged the Sewer King out of a train's way. He was tempted to deal with the Sewer King himself for what he did to the children. He allowed the cops to arrest the Sewer King and take him to prison.
The Sewer King was eventually released from prison. He decided to search for other villains to help him get even with Batman. What he didn't know was that Batman was gone.
